Dr. Albert L. Hairston, originally from Axton, VA, is the Founder and Pastor of Greater Refuge Temple Center of Deliverance Church (GRCOD) in Martinsville, VA. Called to the ministry as a teen, Dr. Hairston has been preaching and teaching the word of God for over 47 years. His education includes: attendant of Irisburg Elementary School; graduate of George Washington Carver High School; received a diploma from The Faith for Today Bible School; studied Bible Courses from the Aenon Bible School, in Columbus, Ohio; holds a Certificate of Bible Studies from the University of Charlotte, in Charlotte, N.C.; and received extended studies in the Old and New Testament History from the University of Virginia, in Charlottesville, VA. He studied Business Management at Patrick Henry Community College, in Martinsville, VA. He graduated from the Jacksonville Theological Seminary with the following degree's: Bachelor of Religious Arts in Biblical Studies, Master's of Theology, and Doctorate of Divinity in Theology.
Bishop Hairston is currently serving on the Board of Bishops for the United Churches of Jesus Apostolic, Board Member of the Credential Committee, serves as the Secretary of the Credential Board, and the State Overseer for the Commonwealth State of Virginia for The United Churches of Jesus Apostolic. He has been awarded The Global Register's WHO'S WHO in Executive's & Professional's Proclamation. Through whatever may have been accomplished it ONLY happened through the Mercy of God and the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. “FOR I CAN DO ALL THINGS, THROUGH CHRIST JESUS WHO STRENGHTEN ME, FOR ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE TO HIM THAT BELIEVE” (Philippians 4:13).
On December 22, 1962, he married the former Gladiola Perkins. To this union were added 3 children and 8 grandchildren. Dr. Hairston, along with his wife, Mother Gladiola Hairston, pursues God's vision to impact the world with a ministry that emphasizes self-esteem, education, spiritual blessings, and the baptism of the Holy Ghost in the name of Jesus.
He is the Apostle, the Prophet, the Evangelist, the Pastor, and the Teacher. He has given himself, through gifts, unto men in order to perfect us, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, for the unity of faith and knowledge of the Son of God, and to bring us unto the fullness of the stature of Christ.
